About the Team:

You’ll join Nike’s Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT) organization, a mission-critical group building high-throughput, low-latency, and fault-tolerant supply chain platforms. This work directly supports Nike’s global digital transformation and consumer experiences—both online and in-store.

Who We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for a motivated backend engineer with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, cloud environments, and distributed systems. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and enjoy solving challenging problems in supply chain technology.

What You’ll Work On:

• Platform Development: Build and maintain a high-throughput, fault-tolerant supply chain platform powering Nike’s digital growth.
• Feature Contribution: Proactively suggest and implement new features, collaborating with product managers, architects, and engineers.
• Backend Engineering: Design and implement RESTful services and microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Code Quality: Write clean, tested, and well-documented code while reviewing peers’ contributions.
• Database Management: Work with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL stores (Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Monitoring & Reliability: Use tools like Splunk, SignalFx, or New Relic to ensure system performance and observability.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in scalability, reliability, usability, and performance.
• Mentorship: Guide and support junior engineers while staying up to date with industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience
• Strong background in Java and Spring Boot (mandatory)
• Experience with microservices, domain-driven design, and RESTful services
• Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Familiarity with NoSQL and relational databases
• Experience in test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Comfortable with agile principles and fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with globally distributed teams

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Designing highly scalable web applications
• Exposure to frontend technologies (ReactJS, AngularJS)
• Understanding of supply chain domains (inventory, logistics, warehouse management)
• Experience with enterprise systems like Manhattan WMS
